MovedTo are proud to be arranging our second annual summer camping trip to Cheddar Gorge.

Last year a dozen or so of us went for a fantastic weekend in the Gorge sampling some of the local cheddar, cider, and scenery. We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to see faces old and new. Check out some of the pictures below from our trip last year, and make sure you are here this year to help us make some great new memories.

Once again we will be hitting up the fantastic Petruth Paddocks situated right in the heart of Cheddar. Petruth Paddocks is a place where anyone can feel immediately at home. From a couple in their expensive new motorhome to a bunch of lads in a £29.99 tent from Aldi. It’s perfect for a big group of friends and a great place for everyone in MovedTo.

A live-and-let-live place where there are refreshingly few rules, campfires are encouraged, music and bad singing are not a problem and people can feel free to wander around making new friends. It’s what they call ‘free range camping’ and we love it! They have a wonderful guide on their site which can help answer any questions you may have.

We will be going on Fri 30 June 2017 and staying until the afternoon on Sun 02 Jul 2017; below is a summary of some quick costs and rough timings.

Costs – Total £35 per person
Camping – £20 per person for the two nights.
Travel – Please feel free to make your own way there or alternatively we can provide transport at £10 per person.
Food – We will be providing Tea/Coffee and Sausage Sandwiches in the morning for £5 per person. Other food is to be provided by yourself. There is a local supermarket and a great local takeaway that will deliver pizzas and burgers. Last year we went to a Cider Barn, a short walk from the campsite, for some local ciders and bowl of chilli which went down a treat too.
