A popular local running event hosted by Greenham Trust – Step Up 4 Good is coming very soon, taking place Sunday 14th October. The race village and starting line are located at Venture West car park, Greenham Common, Newbury. This is the third year the Trust have held this popular 10k and family fun runs, which aims to raise money for local good causes via The Good Exchange https://thegoodexchange.com/. Step Up 4 Good is promising to be a wonderful event that brings people from all walks of life together, to raise money for fantastic causes or just come and run for fun.
Our England Athletics approved race, attracted 800+ runners last year, appealing to experienced affiliated club’s looking to smash their PB due to its stunning flat multi-terrain course, there are a great mixture of beginners and people looking to progress distances, in a historical and beautiful setting with supporters and marshals along the way. Every entrant receives chip timing, tech t-shirt, medal and goody bag, with fantastic prizes up for grabs for the winners, courtesy of our generous supporting companies. Our race village opens at 09:30, with pre-race warm-up’s commencing at 10:15am taken by British Tri Finalist Jason Briley https://www.jasonbrileypt.com/. As well as the races taking place, you will find local charity stalls, fitness and health companies, post-race massage, music, children’s entertainer, mascots galore, face painter, food, refreshments and free parking.
